About Whyser
Whyser: 20 years of HR consulting, built into a platform
Whyser helps senior leaders and their organisations get better. Practically, honestly, and without the consultant theatre.
Whyser + Whyser Work
Two businesses, one idea
Whyser is a Brisbane-based leadership-coaching and culture consultancy, founded by Melanie Sisson in 2010. Since then it has worked with senior teams across Australia and the Asia Pacific on the same problem, over and over: how do you actually shift the way an organisation leads its people?
Whyser Work is the answer to that question, turned into software. The best questions, methods and frameworks from 20 years of consulting, built into one platform so you don't have to hire the consulting separately.
The idea that connects them is simple. Consulting wisdom shouldn't sit in a slide deck that gets filed after the engagement ends. It should be in the tools your leaders use every week.
Founder
Melanie Sisson, founder
Melanie is a specialist in leadership capability and culture consulting for senior teams across the Asia Pacific. She has more than 20 years of experience designing human-centred culture solutions and the systems that meet the real people-challenges of a workplace.
She holds a Bachelor of Business (HR and Marketing) from QUT and a Diploma of Project Management, is an accredited personal and business coach with International Coaching Federation accreditation, and is accredited in Herrmann Whole Brain Thinking (HBDI) and Roche Martin EQ Mastery (the Emotional Capital Report). Her approach is grounded in neuroscience, positive psychology and emotional intelligence: practical tools that help leaders understand themselves and their people well enough to drive genuine, lasting change. Her style is direct, practical and collaborative.
That plain-spoken, practical approach is the reason Whyser Work exists, and it's the standard every part of it is held to.
What we believe
What we believe, held to the standard
- Good intentions don't change organisations. Better information, paired with action, does.
- Effective doesn't have to be complicated. Complexity isn't sophistication.
- People tell you the truth when it's safe to. So we build for honesty, then for action.
- Culture is an asset, not an annual survey. High-performing organisations treat it that way.
Local by design
Why it's built here
Whyser Work wasn't built by software engineers guessing at HR. It's local, it understands the WHS and psychosocial obligations Australian and New Zealand employers actually carry, and it's grounded in real consulting practice rather than borrowed from a US platform that never localised.
